I am the one they call Soledad.
Formally known as Veronica.

I'm forever done with high school(Class of 2008). Where I will miss it (on some occasions) I am looking forward to the many memories I will be making throughout my college years. :) Speaking of which: I just finished my second year at UCO! I'm actually quite glad its over, I mean I loved everything I did throughout the years, it was just too long! xD What do I do there? Well its a bit complicated. I started out as a Graphic Design major hoping it would help with my web development experience, but I was wrong so I fell back on my minor, which at the time was music. So I became an Instrumental Music Education major in the second semester of my first year, and I loved it! It was hard work, but I love what music brought to me in my life, and when I continued through my path I wanted to be the inspiration that my band director in high school was to me (all of them, whether they believe they were or not). I then began to realize that I didn't have to be a teacher to do so. Music is, and will always be a part of my life and dreams, but it wasn't what I wanted to do.

So having finished my sophomore year of college I know that my mind is set. I'm now and will remain a Computer Science and Forensics major. :D Hooray!! I'm so excited! Computers have always been in my roots since I could get my hands on one. I taught myself everything by experience and to be able to do so much more in the future with what I'm learning is just amazing! I can't wait! :)

Not only am I a musician and a computer geek, I LOVE to write. :D Writing goes well when I feel inspired to play my instrument, and not just to compose (which I can't do very well) but to express my emotions and ideas in a way that only I can understand. If anything my ideas will turn out into great fiction for a future story idea I have. Which leads me to my next point about college. I really want to get a minor in Creative Studies. :) I love to write which explains one of the many reasons I am always sitting in front of the computer with a word document open in front of me. It's weird but when I create a character I literally love to bring them to life, and I usually keep writing for that character until its destiny is complete. I always hope to make the story of the character interesting for the reader, and interesting for me because who likes a dull character??

I think that's what I love about reading too. I mean I get to see what other characters published and unpublished authors get to create and the situations they find themselves in. Action, adventure, mystery, romance, etc. I love books. Of course I'm no Hermione Granger, but who doesn't love a good book every once in a while right? I'm also pretty good about remembering what I've read in books despite how slow they start. I mean I don't think I could have gotten through four years of AP English if I wasn't good at that right? Oh wait... there were cliff-notes for those books. xD

I am completely weird when it comes to movies. Like I can love any genre of movie, but movies I will not watch are those crazy and stupid loser movies that make fun of others. Like Napoleon Dynamite. What were the directors thinking? I still refuse to see that move. Scary Movie? Same with that, I refuse to see any of those parodies of other movies and such. However I am a fan of the classic Disney animated films. :) Aladdin will always be my all time favorite. I love action/adventure movies like X-Men, Superman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars (even though that sort of categorizes itself under sci-fi). MUSICALS! I love musicals!! Can't tell you how much I do, but I just do. Take my word for it.

Now when it comes to music I'm not too picky. I mean it really depends on what mood I'm in. I'll listen to any and/or all types of music all day. My iPod is mixed with soundtracks, musicals, rock, punk, indie, a few rap (even though I really can't stand it), um... there's what people like to call Christian music. Yep I have some of that despite the entire rock and jam selection I have in my iPod. You'd be surprised on music when it comes to me. I can listen to just about anything and I love to hear new stuff as well. I mean I like opening my options when it comes to choosing your favorite bands and genres of music. Music is part of my life and helps to identify my individuality. I have to learn to appreciate all of the different types and genres there are.

Now, don't just think that cause I love to read and write and play on my instrument that I just sit around the house. Pft. That's the last thing I do. I'm active. Really I am. Soccer is my all time sport and it forever will be regardless of what the weather is. I mean its a sport that can be played in anything. That's what makes it fun!! I can't say that my skills are the same as they were back when I played like 24/7 but I do know that I am still pretty good. I know the game and have even refereed a few games in my time as a soccer player. It's what helps actually. I know, I know, more blab about my life but hey if you're not here to read about my life then why are you here?? Back to the most amazing sport of all time. Well that's just it. It's amazing. Hands down better than any sport out there. Don't like it? Deal with it.

I'm also in the process of joining the United States Marine Corps. Odd thing for someone like me to do, but I'm looking forward to it. A lot of people are just stumped that I've decided that, but I know that it's going to be good for me. I'll be going in as an officer hopefully so, I'm really excited. xD The training I'm doing to prepare to go into the actual training for next summer sure has been fun. :D

Last but not least, I enjoy doing some good old fashion roleplaying on Xanga. It's sort of turned into an obsession of mine... As mentioned before, I love to write and create characters. One of the main reasons why I do this hobby so well. I'm always flowing with ideas about something. It's just a matter of putting them into action and getting them written down so that I don't forget. As the icon says: "Roleplaying is the high point of human achievement." It's simply amazing. You have to give it a try if you've never tried, I mean I owe so much to roleplaying for helping me find the style in which I do all of my writing now. Of course I still play around a little bit with it, but I'm still learning. Nothing's set in stone yet. So go join a roleplay or something. Give it a try. :)

There's a lot more on my list, but I'm sure this will be enough to let you know a little about me. :)
